The SECURIO AF500 is built for the office that shreds in batches rather than a few pages at a time. Drop a stack of up to 500 sheets into the auto feed tray, close the lid and the machine pulls pages through on its own, so nobody has to stand at the shredder feeding it. For the odd document, card or disc there is a separate manual slot that takes 14–16 sheets per pass.

The cut is 3/16" x 1 1/8" (about 4.5 x 30 mm), which places it in DIN 66399 class P-4: the level most privacy policies ask for with personnel files, customer records and financial paperwork. Staples and paper clips can stay in, and credit cards and CDs/DVDs go through the manual feed.

Good to know before you order

At 59.5 lb and roughly 19.6" x 19.3" x 39.5" it is a floor-standing unit, not a deskside one. It runs on a standard 110–120 V outlet. The collection container is HSM's AF500/B32 cardboard box. If your policy asks for P-5 or higher, look at the finer-cut SECURIO models instead; if you only shred a few sheets at a time, a manual-feed B-series machine will do the job for less.
